We built NHS Pay Checkbecause existing tools didn't account for the unique complexities of NHS pay — pension tiers, unsocial hours enhancements, HCAS zones, and the differences between England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Our calculator is updated promptly when pay awards are confirmed, tax thresholds change, or pension tiers are adjusted. We aim to be the most accurate and comprehensive NHS pay calculator available.

Our calculations are based on official Agenda for Change pay scales published by NHS Employers, HMRC tax and National Insurance thresholds, and NHS Pension Scheme contribution rates.
